Join Us as a Connector or Community Partner Liaison: Be the Difference in Someone’s Life
At The Hub, we believe in transforming lives, one connection at a time. Our mission is simple but powerful: to serve our under-resourced neighbors, offering them not just assistance, but a path to lasting stability and independence. And we need you to help us make that happen.
The Hub, a community resource center established by The Point Church, connects individuals in need with vital resources such as housing, legal services, job placement, and much more. But none of this is possible without dedicated volunteers—people like you—who are willing to be the bridge between someone in crisis and the help they need. Today, we’re calling on you to consider joining us as a Connector or Community Partner Liaison.
Training Begins in October!
To make sure you feel confident and equipped, we will provide comprehensive training for all Connector and Liaison volunteers starting in October. You’ll be fully prepared to step into your role, armed with the knowledge and skills you need to make a real impact.
The Role of a Connector
As a Connector, you will be the frontline of care at The Hub. Your responsibilities will include:
Meeting with individuals in need to assess their situation, offering guidance and support.
Connecting them to immediate resources, such as shelter, food, and transportation.
Coordinating follow-up support, ensuring they stay connected to the services that will help them achieve stability.
Integrating faith and encouragement, helping individuals not only with their physical needs but also nurturing spiritual resilience.
If you have the gifts of compassion, mercy, and service, this role is perfect for you. As a Connector, you will offer empathetic, Christ-like care to people in difficult situations, helping them find hope and healing.
You’ll work directly with people who are facing real challenges, offering them a listening ear, guidance, and hope for the future. Whether it's pointing them to a local shelter or helping them access job training, your role as a Connector will make a profound difference in their lives.
The Role of a Community Partner Liaison
If you have a talent for networking and building relationships, the Community Partner Liaison role might be the perfect fit for you! As a Liaison, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring The Hub’s partnerships with over 850 non-profit organizations are strong and effective. Your responsibilities will include:
Building and managing relationships with key community partners, ensuring we have strong, effective collaborations.
Serving as the go-between for The Hub and these organizations, ensuring that our clients receive the services they need.
Identifying new partners, helping us continually expand our network to meet the growing needs of the community.
This role is ideal for those gifted with leadership, hospitality, and discernment. As a Liaison, you’ll build meaningful partnerships, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible care from our nonprofit partners.
You’ll be the connection that helps people in need find the services they deserve. By managing and expanding our partnerships, you’re helping to ensure that The Hub continues to serve our neighbors with excellence and compassion.
Why Your Help Matters
Many of our neighbors cycle in and out of crisis, and while they may receive help for immediate needs, the long-term solutions often seem out of reach. Your involvement can change that. By volunteering as a Connector or Liaison, you’re not just offering a service—you’re offering hope, empowerment, and a path out of poverty.
We’re asking for a commitment of 3-6 hours a week for Connectors and about 5-10 hours a week for Community Partner Liaisons. But more than your time, we’re asking for your heart. Every hour you spend with us helps create lasting change in someone’s life.
How to Get Involved
