Upcoming At The Waynesboro Campus
Meet Pastor James
James and his family have been regularly attending The Point Church since January of 2017. James has lived most of his life in the Charlottesville community. He graduated from Albemarle High School and the University of Virginia as a history major with a focus on East Asia.
The son of a minister, James has grown up in the Christian faith. As Campus Pastor, James will bring his own personal experience with overcoming addiction and committing his life entirely to Christ to serve those in the Waynesboro community. He has a heart for people in recovery and has led groups to help people struggling with addiction. James and his wife of over 25 years have also led marriage classes and currently lead groups in Waynesboro. James also has a heart for the business community and leads a Christian men’s group as well. James is passionate about mission work in our own backyard as well as internationally having gone to Nicaragua with his son Kaleb as well as to Cape Town, South Africa, both during the summer of 2023. He has felt the calling of ministry throughout his life and was humbled to be asked to join the staff of The Point.
He is thankful to be married to the love of his life Natalia Burton for over 25 years. He has two adult children who also love the Lord and are active within the Christian community.
