Baby Dedications
Dedicating a child to growing up in a community of Christian believers is an important milestone for parents who want to raise their children with a strong foundation of faith.
Child dedication is a public declaration of a parent's commitment to raising their child in the love and knowledge of Jesus Christ, with the support and guidance of a community of believers.
In the Bible, we see many examples of parents bringing their children to Jesus for blessing and prayer, such as when Jesus said,
"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these" (Matthew 19:14).
Similarly, child dedication is a way for parents to present their child before God and ask for His blessing and guidance as they navigate the joys and challenges of parenting.
In addition to seeking God's blessing, child dedication also serves as an opportunity for parents to publicly commit to raising their child in a community of believers. This is important because we are not meant to walk through life alone. The journey of faith is best navigated in the company of others who share our values and beliefs. When parents dedicate their children to growing in a community of Christian believers, they are committing to actively seek out and participate in a community of faith where their children can learn, grow, and thrive.
Furthermore, dedicating a child to growing up in a community of Christian believers can have a profound impact on the child's spiritual development.
When a child grows up surrounded by people who love and follow Jesus, they are more likely to develop a strong faith of their own. They have the opportunity to see firsthand how faith impacts the lives of those around them and to learn from the wisdom and experiences of others.
Child dedication is a powerful way for parents to publicly declare their commitment to raising their child in the love and knowledge of Jesus Christ.
It is a beautiful reminder that parenting is a partnership between parents and God and that we are all called to support and encourage one another on our faith journey.

Why You Should Get Involved in REACH Serve Day
Why You Should Get Involved in REACH Serve Day
As believers, we are called to love and serve others, just as Jesus did during his time on earth. REACH Serve Day is an opportunity for us to put this calling into action by serving our local community and sharing the love of God in practical ways. Here are a few reasons why you should get involved in REACH Serve Day:
We are called to love our neighbors.
In Mark 12:31, Jesus commands us to "love your neighbor as yourself." This means that we are called to show love and kindness to those around us, regardless of their background or circumstances. REACH Serve Day provides a tangible way to love our neighbors by meeting practical needs and building relationships with those we serve.
Serving others is a way to show our faith.
James 2:14-17 reminds us that faith without action is dead. When we serve others, we are demonstrating our faith in a tangible way, showing others the love of Christ through our actions. REACH Serve Day is an opportunity to put our faith into action and make a difference in the lives of those around us.
We are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
In John 13:15, Jesus tells his disciples, "I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you." Jesus spent his time on earth serving others, healing the sick, and sharing the good news of salvation. As his followers, we are called to do the same. REACH Serve Day is a chance to be the hands and feet of Jesus by serving our community and sharing his love with those around us.
Serving others brings joy.
Proverbs 11:25 tells us that "a generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed." When we serve others, we not only bring joy to those we serve but also experience joy ourselves. There is something incredibly fulfilling about making a positive impact in the lives of those around us. REACH Serve Day is an opportunity to experience this joy firsthand.
Jesus’s first disciples were fishermen casting a net. In Matthew 4:19, “Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!” Jesus calls YOU to do the same.
