TEACHINg Your Child About Serving
Parents, we are so excited to start our REACH Series during the month of July! REACH is our outreach ministry, which extends its efforts on a local, national, and international level. At The Point, we believe it is of utmost importance for parents to involve their children in community outreach and volunteering since they align with the life that Jesus lived. He exemplified compassion, love, and service towards others throughout his ministry. By actively participating in acts of service, children follow in the footsteps of Jesus and learn to emulate his character.
As Christians, we are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus, spreading his love and grace to the world. By involving children in these activities, we teach them the importance of living out their faith in practical ways. They can witness the transformative power of God's love and experience firsthand the joy that comes from making a positive impact in the lives of others.
Acts of service provide opportunities for children to share their faith with others. Through their actions and words, children can be powerful witnesses of God's love and grace. As they interact with individuals and communities in need, they have the chance to demonstrate the transformative power of Christ in their own lives. Their service becomes a testament to the hope and redemption found in Jesus, inspiring others to seek a relationship with Him.
Participating in outreach can strengthen the bond between families as well their church community. In other words, families not only grow closer to each other but also forge deeper connections within the church. As we work side by side with fellow believers, united in our mission to serve others, we strengthen the communal aspect of our faith. These shared experiences provide opportunities for fellowship, mutual support, and encouragement as we journey together in our Christian walk.
We invite you to join us in the REACH Series, where we will explore how we can serve others in the name of Jesus, both locally and globally. Together, let us live out our faith and make a lasting impact on the world around us, reflecting God's love and grace to all we encounter. Check out some of these ideas below:
