Year-End Giving Opportunities at The Point Church

As we approach the year-end Legacy Offering on December 8th, we invite you to consider several ways to make a meaningful, impactful gift that supports our mission and helps maximize your tax benefits. Here are a few options for year-end giving that might be right for you or your family.

1. Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD)

If you’re 70½ or older, you can make a direct gift from your IRA to The Point Church, which can count toward your required minimum distribution (RMD) without adding to your taxable income. This option is tax-free, easy to set up, and helps fulfill our mission.

2. Gifts of Appreciated Stock

Donating stocks or other appreciated securities is a powerful way to give. You can avoid capital gains taxes while also deducting the full market value of the gift. It’s an excellent way to maximize your impact.

3. Donor-Advised Funds (DAF)

If you have a donor-advised fund, you can recommend The Point Church as a recipient for a year-end grant. This allows you to make a gift now that will make a difference for our church community.

4. Bequests & Legacy Gifts

Consider leaving a legacy by including The Point Church in your estate plans. A bequest or other legacy gift supports our church’s mission for years to come and creates a lasting impact for future generations.

5. End-of-Year Cash Gifts

For immediate impact, consider making a cash gift. This simple option can often be deducted if you itemize your taxes, supporting our general fund or a specific church project.

6. Set Up Recurring Giving

To provide ongoing support, you can set up a recurring gift that ensures our programs and ministries continue to thrive year-round. This can be done easily online or through your bank.
